"Pioneer"
Of English Language Bouzouki Programs In The
USA"
There are many
styles of bouzouki playing. The style that
captivated my heart was the old rebetiko style
in which the bouzouki players would play the
entire melody of the song while singing along.
This most loved style is what I teach.
Since 1992
with the introduction of "Bouzouki My Love 1",
my goal has been to provide the beginning
- intermediate bouzouki players with the necessary
knowledge needed to play their favorite songs by
ear.
During this time
many of my students have sent me recordings of
their favorite songs to teach them. Some
of these students whose ears were not yet fully
developed asked me to not only video tape their
favorite songs but to also list each note of
their songs on paper. You can now order
these song lessons with
sheets included on DVD or Video from our "Special Request
Song List".
In 2004 Flower
Publishing began it's new "Master The Bouzouki"
series. These courses will feature various
professional bouzouki players and cover
various aspects of bouzouki playing.
"Master The Bouzouki 1" on "Taximia" features
Costas Charalambous.
In order to
accommodate our friends around the world, all
our lessons and courses are now available on
your choice of region free DVD or VHS Video in
either the
NTSC (USA& Canada) and the PAL format.
Thank you for visiting!!! God
Bless, and Best Wishes, Sotirios Noussias - Flower Publishing

taximia course gives everyone the
opportunity to learn the 14 Greek
Dromoi as taught by the great
late Harry Lemonopoulos.

"Master The
Bouzouki Vol. 1"
After
one learns the dromoi and music theory as taught in Bouzouki My
Love 1, 2, and 3, and has built his song
repertoire, the ultimate goal of every bouzouki
player becomes the ability to play beautiful taximia (freelance
improvisations) on the spot.
My friend Costas Charalambous
is the instructor on this course.
Costas plays a close up taximi in each of the
various dromoi. He then slows it down to instantly get you moving
up and down the
fretboard like a true bouzouksis. He then
plays a close up taximi plus a song for the
dromo.
